This wasn’t our first time working with Lizzie— she also created the accordion bench/bed in the West Cottage for the 6 months we rented it. For this particular project, she came up with a simple yet brilliant idea: to mount mirrors to the back of the narrow couch, saving inches without putting weight on the walls of the old shed.   A few years ago we decided on a vintage book page and sheet music Christmas decor theme after I made a wreath out of vintage sheet music. We made simple ring chain garland from book pages, clear balls filled with strips of sheet music and book pages, sweet little glittered book page birds and accordion-fold rosettes in all sizes.

I haven't read any Danielle Steel novels in a while, mostly because they are pretty much formula writing. Just happened to want a light read the other day and stumbled upon The Cottage. While it was very much a formulaic Steel novel, it was pretty good since the main characters were wronged men, for once.
